If you designate Manteno Primary School as the beneficiary, your purchases made with your TARGET Visa can result in money coming to your child's school. Through the Take Charge of Education program, Target donates an amount equal to 1% of REDcard (purchases made at Target and Target.com, and 1/2% of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere, to the eligible K-12 school of your choice. We recently received two checks totaling almost $600!. For those of you who are uncomfortable using charge cards, you can pay using the card, and walk over to the service desk and write a check. You haven't spent any additional money, but some still comes back to the school! SAVE THOSE SOUP LABELS & BOX TOPS! The Manteno PTO is again collecting Campbell's soup labels and Box Tops for Education. By simply cutting off the UPC codes off of soup labels and sending them in you are helping our schools get much needed items. Items purchased in past years have included classroom sets of dictionaries and playground equipment. Box Tops for Education can be found on many products including but not limited to: Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Ziploc, and General Mills Cereals. Each of these are worth $0.10. If each student in our building collected 10 of these, it would add up to over $300. It is very simple to cut out the box tops and send them to your classroom teacher.
